PhenRx Review – How Safe and Effective is it?
Like so many diet pills that have preceded PhenRx, this product declares that it is not like any other weight management product available for sale on the market. Available without a prescription, this concoction alleges that when used, users’ metabolic rate will skyrocket, the thyroid will be accelerated into a higher gear, appetite will be destroyed and fat will be scorched from all the areas of the body where the deposits are a problem, such as the stomach, legs, butt, thighs and love handles (although to me, mentioning the “stomach” and “love handles” as separate, as well as “legs” from “thighs” seems a bit like the manufacturers are embellishing their product.)
PhenRx declares that what makes it unique, is that it specifically puts it’s bull’s eye on subcutaneous fat, which is the cellulite as well as fat that is right below the skin that is the most noticeable. In addition to this, the makers of this concoction also find it important to mention that with use of this product, mental dexterity as well as energy levels will be significantly stepped up as well. The company has a page dedicated to the science behind PhenRx and how it is supposed to affect fat deposits as well as the metabolic rate in users.
While there does seem to be science behind the product description, there are numerous products that also have implemented similar tactics, yet the actual results may be far less than stellar. Marketing people know how to use words to display images as they see fit, all in the name of making more money from people who don’t know any better.
So is this the case with this byproduct of substances? Is it really too good to be based in reality? Or is it truly a diet pill that is beneficial for people looking to drop excess weight from their bodies? Read on to find out.
NextGen BioLabs is the Tampa, Florida based manufacturer responsible for creating PhenRx. The company asserts that it is a worldwide leader in pharmaceutical supplements, as well as nutraceuticals that are of superior quality because the science behind their products is so superb. The company specializes it’s products in five different areas which are: Energy, weight loss, hormone support, wellness and health and sports nutrition. The company’s About Us page also makes use of images that support the narrative they want to drive, yet these pictures are not of any of the people who manage the company. Instead these images feature people in lab coats, a man in a field with his arms joyously raised to a blue sky (not really anything to do with pharmaceutical products) as well as a picture of a young woman who is smiling. Who she is however is never elaborated on.
For some of the products that they manufacturer, such as PhenRx, the company provides the science behind how these goods are supposed to work. This is a lot more than some other companies provide, which is left to be sometimes solely a product description and nothing more. The company also has a social media presence, but is limited to only a few platforms, which are Google+, Facebook and Twitter. Moreover, the company also uses deals on it’s products to lure people into buying, such as advertising that purchases that are greater than $100 get free shipping if they are within the United States.
While there is a page on the official website dedicated to the science behind this product, there are no clinical trials that have been supplied that would verify any of the declarations that this product makes about itself. While it may sound good, it is never even mentioned if there were any clinical trials performed, and they just didn’t supply us with it. Instead what I see is a product that will give you heightened energy levels, as well as an enhancement to the state of mind, which may in turn have people believing that they are actually losing more weight than they actually are. There have been reports that reviews posted about this product on websites such as Amazon.com have been overly positive, to the point where their validity comes into question.
Top Rated Products would never feature fake reviews on themselves just so people will be tricked into buying them.
Concocted into PhenRx are 7 different ingredients, which are all jumbled together in a proprietary blend. The total amount of this blend weighs out to be 377 mg. There is no mention as to the individual amounts of the ingredients, nor is there a mention as to what the daily recommended dosage of any of the substances are either. The ingredients that make up the proprietary blend are: Schizandrol, yohimbine, 1,3,7 trimethylxanthine (caffeine), synephrine HCl, Beta-Phenylethylamine, 5-Hydroxytryptophan (5 HTP) and N,N-dimethyl-4-hydroxyphenylethylamine. From this we can gather that PhenRx includes ingredients that act as stimulants (1,3,7 trimethylxanthine, synephrine HCl, N,N-dimethyl-4-hydroxyphenylethylamine, schizandrol), a substance that makes these more potent (yohimbine), as well as substances that are meant to magnify positive feelings in the user’s mind (5 HTP, Beta-phenylethylamine). Users are advised to take a single capsule before lunch and repeat the process before dinner. If the user is experienced with this product, an additional capsule may be added.
Contrary to the very goal of this concoction, there were many users who have reported that not only did PhenRx not suppress their thoughts of hunger, but that it actually increased their overall craving to eat! There have also been reports of other adverse reactions people have experienced, which include the stomach being upset, having dreams that have vivid quality, nausea, headaches, palpitations (rapid heartbeat), swelling of the limbs and shakiness. In more rare cases, some users have also experienced xerostermia (also known as dry mouth) and the inability to sleep (insomnia). I think it is also important to mention that with so many different stimulants in this byproduct of substances, that people who have a sensitive relationship with stimulants, people with pre-existing health conditions such as heart problems and women who are nursing or in stages of pregnancy are not advised to use this product. People with thyroid disorders and who suffer from high blood pressure are not recommended to take this product either. Make sure to contact your physician before using this product, as it may interact with other medications that you may already be taking.
There was one case that I have read from an Amazon.com review of a customer using this product and soon after being diagnosed with liver damage that was deemed irreversible. It is because of this that I urge users to be careful of the products that they consume, be they this concoction or others.
Top Rated Products are not known to increase appetite if weight loss is their stated goal.
While topically it may seem that there is science to back up this concoction of substances, closer inspection reveals that there is actually a void in the spot where the clinical studies should have been provided and sourced. What this product relies on instead, is it’s attention grabbing marketing copy that is used to lull potential buyers into believing that this product will really have them dropping weight. What further pushes me away from believing in this product, is that it makes no mention as to how necessary a diet deficient of excess fats and calories and regular, routine exercise are important for weight loss results to become noticeable. Without even so much as mentioning either of these two facets, I find it hard to believe that this product will do much of anything for the user. Lastly, the case of the Amazon.com user who experienced liver damage from use of this supplement has me a bit worried for anyone else that may be thinking of using this product to acheive their target weight. There are safer products available on the market that won’t harm you in such horrendous ways. All it takes, is a little research into what you are going to buy before you consume it.
