This is a brand name that I have heard for awhile, but I admit, I never really knew much about. I had heard the name mentioned briefly in commercials, but my knowledge of this product ended right there. Since my job is to review health supplements, naturally this product came to the forefront of my attention. Originally released in the 1990s, Xenadrine was originally concocted with ephedra. Since then the illegal substance has been removed and in it’s place green coffee bean has stepped into the ingredient lineup.

When companies switch up their ingredients, there’s always people who complain that the new blend isn’t as good as it used to be. I’ve read many reviews of other products that used to contain ephedra, and I’ve seen mountains of complaints on their substitutes. In some cases these replacements may be just as dangerous, while other times they are completely inept.

So how does the new product line up exactly? Is the new formula in Xenadrine really as good as they advertise it to be? Find out in the following article.

What is it?

Sporting a blue colored capsule, Xenadrine Core gasconades that it will not only bring users energy to the next level, but it will also trigger thermogenesis. Additionally, the user’s sensory become amped up as well. Xenadrine Core boasts that it’s capsules begin to take effect much faster than an average diet pill. By scrolling down a bit farther on the page I saw a couple graphs that the company posted, showing that the key ingredient of this product supports weight loss much better than a placebo.

The webpage also lists a few of the ingredients that go into this product, but past that there’s not a lot of information on the website. There is a video that shows essentially what the pill is, plus reviews, but I’ve noticed the company highlights only the very best reviews.

The website also features a whole array of articles on fitness, nutrition, recipies for healthy living and a calculator calculators for general weight management. It does feel a bit comforting to see a website that feels more legitimate than other diet pills that have only a single page for their whole product and nothing else. I did notice that there was no warning at the bottom of the webpage, saying that the FDA has not validated any of the statements that are made about the company’s products. The company behind Xenadrine Core has been in the hot seat before for diet pills that were known to harm people, but that was when the product contained ephedra, which it currently doesn’t.

Who makes it?

Iovate Health Sciences is the Canadian company responsible for bringing Xenadrine Core into existence. Founded in 1995, the company originally had only 3 different products under it’s belt. Fast forward a couple of decades and the company has not only more products, but has also won numerous awards, from the likes of GNC, BodyBuilding.com, RiteAid and Walmart.

The company doesn’t stop its efforts with just nutritional supplements. There are various institutions that they have donated money to, such as The Heart and Stroke Foundation, The Cure Foundation, The American Liver Foundation and the Salvation Army to name a few. The company has also been making strides to ensure that it has become more green friendly and consumes less energy.

Does Xenadrine Core work?

The problems I have seen with this product are that for one, some of the ingredients aren’t really known to be robust enough to successfully duel swords with weight loss. Green coffee bean may be used frequently in diet pills, but it has shown to generally be an impotent ingredient. Coleus root is intended to revamp the metabolic rate but there are studies that have shown that this change is non-existent. Top Rated Products don’t carry such inadequate ingredients.

While there are graphs on the web page that show what ingredients are better than the placebo, there is no mention as to where these studies have taken place, other than a few brief seconds in the video that is shown on the website. After scouring the internet, I was not able to find the specific study that is mentioned.

So without concrete data to back up any of these allegations, I cannot say that the product will work. It does mention that this is to be used to regular exercise and a diet that is not high in calories, but those two are staples to any weight loss plan. Without those two factors, there is no such thing as weight loss.

If results are seen, it could very well be due to those two factors and have nothing to do with the diet pill at all.

Are there potential side effects?

There is a lot of caffeine in this product, not only coming in the form of caffeine anhydrous, but also from green coffee bean and gotu kola as well. The effects of this are made all the more potent from the inclusion of yohimbe. Adverse reactions from stimulants include anxiety, jitters, insomnia, nausea, palpitations and hypertension.

White kidney bean, which is another ingredient found in this mix, may cause digestive issues, examples of which being bloating and flatulence.

Conclusion

While the company likes to bombast it’s audience with it’s declarations of it’s ingredients, the truth of the matter is that there is not enough scientific evidence to show that this is indeed a superior diet pill. If anything, a look into the real potency of the ingredients will show that this product falls incredibly short from its aspirations.

Without the ephedra that this diet pill used to contain, there is no doubt that it is safer. However, like many other diet pills that used to contain this substance, the revised itineration isn’t something that I can call noteworthy. I wouldn’t recommend taking a diet pill with ephedra, but there are Top Rated Products available that are safe and can help you reach your goals in a much more efficient fashion.
